Culinary Professional - Career Development Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes during all service periods.
  • Gain exposure to various service styles, including à la carte, buffet, room service, and functions.
  • Rotate through different kitchens, including restaurant, events, and pastry, to broaden your skill set.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times.
  • Be flexible in adapting to guest requests and preferences.
  • Collaborate effectively with Food and Beverage Attendants to deliver exceptional service.
  • Prepare food and mise en place according to established standards.
  • Work efficiently according to daily production sheets and maintain accurate control over portion size and waste.
  • Take an active role in learning your trade and developing your culinary skills.
  • Participate in thorough cleaning of equipment and working areas after each service.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this role.
  • Currently studying or enrolled in a culinary program is desirable.
  • Willingness to learn from experienced chefs and take instruction is critical.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Australian citizenship is required.
