Job Summary

The Finance and Contract Administration Officer plays a crucial role in the efficient management of financial resources, commissioning, procurement, and contract administration within the Aboriginal Health Unit. This position is responsible for providing advice and assistance on budgeting, financial reporting, planning, and compliance obligations, ensuring alignment with departmental and government requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on financial management, contract administration, and procurement to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and planning to ensure compliance with departmental and government requirements.
  • Draft, review, and execute contracts and agreements, monitoring performance and reporting on contract activity and issues.
  • Support the Business Administration Support Officer on finance, accommodation, and travel needs of the Aboriginal Health Unit.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Unit staff and Corporate Services Division to access support and guidance on contract management and procurement matters.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A National Police Certificate (NPC) for general employment and immunisation requirements are necessary for this position.
