The Role

We seek a highly skilled Credit Manager to join our Sydney-based team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about fintech innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team responsible for delivering a seamless customer journey through the mortgage application process from application to settlement.
  • Develop and implement processes to drive business maturity and scale, including customer identification, fraud prevention, loan origination, and life cycle.
  • Help craft and manage team priorities, SLAs, and deadlines to ensure we meet our team and company goals.
  • Champion process improvement and credit automation, ensuring our tools are fit for purpose.
  • Manage escalations, complexities, or unique customer or broker queries.
  • Advocate for internal policy compliance and inform stakeholders of changes.
  • Lead valuation processes with external property valuers.
  • Support compliance and regulatory processes, including KYC/AML, reporting, credit licensing, and new product operationalization.
  • Develop training materials for internal and external teams.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in non-bank credit assessment, with a high degree of credit decisioning expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of non-bank credit assessment policies and regulations governing residential lending.
  • Customer-focused approach, aiming to create positive and memorable interactions.
  • Experience with process design and improving efficiency and scalability.
  • Innate analytical skills to identify risks and make informed decisions based on document verification.
  • A friendly, energetic, and authentic approach to work.
