We are seeking an experienced Fatigue Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety-focused group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our staff and enhancing our safety standards.

The Role

In this dynamic position, you will provide expert guidance on fatigue risk management across our operating functions. Your knowledge and skills will help us develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate fatigue-related risks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance performance expectations.
  • Coach and facilitate continuous enhancement of fatigue risk management practices.
  • Ensure tools and guides support implementation of our Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS).
  • Prepare data and presentations for regular review meetings and other audiences.
Capability Requirements
  • Aviation experience (desirable) and/or associated tertiary qualification.
  • Desirable: experience in data collection and analysis techniques, Airline Operations and Crew Management Systems, knowledge of aircrew resource management systems and bio-mathematical modelling software.
  • Working knowledge of Rostering and/or Operations Control environment (ideal).

Experience implementing systems and risk management programs within aviation or resource sectors, working independently and within small teams, ability to chair meetings or take minutes as required.

  • Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (mandatory).
  • A clear, articulate communicator in both written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organised and used to working to deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Diligence and strong professional disciplines including confidentiality.
  • Shows initiative and can work without supervision.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.

This role is based at our National Head Office.
