In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Nursing Care Delivery: Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to residents within the care environment.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate services, including those of other disciplines or agencies, for individual residents to maximise care outcomes.
  • Individualised Care Plans: Implement individualised care plans that are accurate and developed in accordance with the individual needs of the resident, and ensure plans are updated when the needs of the individual change.
  • Risk Management: Identify, document, and manage clinical risks.
  • Care Documentation: Ensure all care delivery and corresponding documentation requirements are completed in accordance with the quality standards, legislative and funding requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with individual residents, care partners and care providers to develop plans, programs, and initiatives to maximise care outcomes.
  • Health Promotion: Provide education, counselling and group work services orientated towards the promotion of health status and quality of life improvements of residents.
  • Skill Development: Provide direct and routine supervision, support, and education to the care team and less experienced staff, including Enrolled Nurses, personal care workers and students.
  • Accountability: Accept accountability for own standards of nursing care and service delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in action research and policy development within care setting.
  • Quality Outcomes: Contribute to continuous improvement activities to support quality care outcomes.
  • Brand Representation: Promote Harbison in a positive manner both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Scope of Practice: Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration.
  • Care Needs Assessment: Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of residents.
  • Work Prioritisation: Capable of functioning autonomously, and prioritising work and the work of others within established policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Problem Solving: Display a high level of problem-solving skills and techniques with subsequent evaluation of outcomes.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate and role model behaviours that align with Harbison's Code of Conduct, Values and pillars of customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and direct a care services team.
  • Industry Knowledge: Considerable knowledge and understanding of the industry's practices and relevant statutory requirements.

Employment Benefits

  • PAY RATE: Employed under the Harbison Nursing Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026 and paid at rates above the NSW Health Nurses' Award. Salary range is between $83,000 - $114,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
