Job Title: Gas Equipment Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gas Equipment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing BOC-owned gas equipment/pipes at customer sites, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical maintenance of gas equipment on customer and company sites.
  • Minimize equipment downtime and enhance operational reliability.
  • Refurbish cryogenic and gas vessels; install and remove equipment; calibrate and test gas analyzers at customer and company sites.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting of equipment using a mechanical fitting background.
  • Complete planned maintenance and breakdown tasks as required.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of equipment in line with codes and standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in plumbing or equipment servicing.
  • Plumbing or mechanical fitter qualification is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience in gas fittings, running copper piping, crimp fittings, and brazing; servicing valves, pressure safety valves, and regulators.
  • Gas fitting ticket is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
