Gas Turbine Field Specialist

About the Role:
This is a specialist role for a Gas Turbine Field Technician with strong mechanical, electrical and instrumentation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning projects, service and maintenance inspections, equipment removal and installation of turbo-machinery products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to customers across Western Australia and Northern Territory sites.
- Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with company policy, manufacturer's recommendations and industry best practices.
- Recognize electrical/mechanical abnormalities and potential safety problems.
- Produce detailed, highly technical reports for various stakeholders.
- Utilize sound judgment when analyzing problems to solve them in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Work individually or with assigned FSRs on preventive/corrective maintenance tasks.
- Assist in a technical manner with customer operations and maintenance crews.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation discipline with 3+ years of industry experience or degree qualified Engineer in relevant discipline.
- Strong hands-on technical knowledge with rotating equipment and PLC systems.
- Technical report writing skills.
- Customer focus and customer service skills.
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
- Computer literate (MS Office experience).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in Gas Turbine, Power Generation and Gas Compression.
- Oil and Gas industry experience.
- Allen Bradley PLC experience.
- Dry gas seal experience.
- Controls/instrumentation/electrical knowledge.
- High integrity and self-confidence.
- Ability to work independently in demanding environments and communicate professionally.
