The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the coal processing plant, ensuring efficient and safe production.
- Operate and maintain all coal processing equipment, including machinery and ancillary systems.
- Manage stockpiles and work areas to optimize production and minimize waste.
- Diagnose faults and eliminate problems to ensure plant efficiency.
- Coordinate service and repairs within the CHPP.
- Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced team members to achieve high levels of production in a safe and efficient manner.
- Trade qualified in an associated discipline (highly desirable).
- Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface) and Queensland Open Driver's licence.
- Sound computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of responsibilities under the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations.
- Previous experience in a CHPP operation.
This is a mid-senior level position requiring a combination of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in a coal processing environment.
