Job Title

Electrical Tradesperson - Underground Coal Mining

As an Electrical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for supervising the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine. You will also monitor electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit-for-purpose and safe condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations.
  • Monitor electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit-for-purpose and safe condition.
  • Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.
RequirementsEssential Skills:
  • Underground Coal Mining experience.
  • Qualifications under the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 as qualified electrical tradesman.
  • A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
  • Sound planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
