Radio Configuration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radio Configuration Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide technical and operational support for P25 subscriber radio configuration, including creating and updating configurations via CPS, RM, or RC. They will participate in customer meetings to derive operational requirements, perform verification testing, and update test plans as needed. Technologies may also include TETRA and DMR.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting customer technical requirements with a team of radio configuration specialists.
  • Developing and managing codeplugs, updating documentation.
  • Reviewing and summarizing new software and firmware releases for customers.
  • Conducting regression testing for firmware updates.
  • Providing technical support to stakeholders.
  • Engaging in stakeholder meetings to discuss configuration impacts.
  • Managing a standardized process for codeplug development and testing.
  • Handling customer issues related to subscriber radio configuration.
  • Managing deployment of codeplug updates post-approval.
  • Maintaining software tools and servers to support the latest versions.
  • Following operational procedures and logging all contacts accurately.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience with Land Mobile Radio systems, especially Motorola ASTRO P25 (highly desirable).
