Telecommunications Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Infrastructure Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and secure network solutions. This role is pivotal in shaping the communications infrastructure-spanning voice, data, mobile, and cloud-while driving innovation, performance, and strategic alignment with business goals.
This specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end telecommunications solutions across voice, data, mobile, and IP networks. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and architecting IP networks, including network diagrams, device configuration, and switch and firewall setup
- Collaborating with engineering, operations, and vendor teams to ensure seamless implementation and performance
- Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending strategic investments to enhance connectivity and service delivery
- Defining and implementing best practices for network and capacity management
Requirements include:
- Tertiary education in IT, Telecommunications, or Engineering
- Proven experience in telecommunications architecture, network engineering, or infrastructure strategy
- Deep understanding of telecom technologies including MPLS, SIP, LTE/5G, SDN, and unified communications
- Experience with enterprise-grade platforms and integration tools
- Strong knowledge of network security, identity management, and performance optimisation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
