Community Mental Health Clinician

The Community Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused clinical services, including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and review, as part of a multidisciplinary team for individuals referred to the service with mental illness, distress, and/or risk issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mental health assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing mental illness.
- Collaborate with consumers, their families, and carers, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote recovery and well-being.
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Provide education and support to consumers and their families on mental health issues and recovery strategies.
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist.
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice, including conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based interventions.
- Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act and the principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery.
- High-level communication skills and ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families, and carers, and other stakeholders.
