Job Title

An Operations and Maintenance Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of renewable energy systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team driving the performance and reliability of cutting-edge solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and managing control systems for solar generation assets, overseeing network infrastructure, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting faults in SCADA, PLCs, and data communication networks.

You will work closely with technicians to diagnose and resolve control, electrical, and network issues, while ensuring compliance with grid codes, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize and manage control systems: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of solar generation assets.
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls for SCADA and automation systems.
  • System Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis: Monitor system performance, diagnose faults in SCADA, PLCs, and data communication networks, and develop Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with technicians to troubleshoot control, electrical, and network issues, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in control systems and industrial network management.
  • Skill Set: Strong skills in SCADA, HMI interfaces, PLC programming, and IP-based communications, as well as knowledge of network tools, topologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Personal Qualities: Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities, passion for renewable energy, and a collaborative team spirit.
