Key Responsibilities
  • Support staff, carers, and children in programs in WA/NT to ensure high-quality therapeutic care.
  • Provide therapeutic leadership and trauma-informed interventions based on sound practice expertise and contemporary research.
  • Deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Requirements
  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values.
  • An awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
  • Post-graduate training in relevant child, adolescent, and family clinical practice is preferred.

Ensuring that all actions are guided by cultural sensitivity and an appreciation of the historical disadvantage experienced by Aboriginal Australians is essential.

Making a meaningful contribution to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families requires a deep understanding of social determinants of health and wellbeing.
