- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home assistance to individuals with disabilities, including daily routines and personal care.
- Deliver community access support to enable clients to engage in social and community activities.
- Support client well-being by managing behaviors of concern and ensuring a safe environment.
- Collaborate with the participant's family and team to implement individualized support strategies.
- Assist with home cleaning tasks as required, maintaining a comfortable living space.
- Outreach Initiatives:
- Promote services within the community through localized outreach and business connections.
- Utilize social media platforms to increase awareness and engagement of services.
- Combine support work with outreach activities to build stronger community ties and expand service reach.
- Contribute to a growing team to raise awareness about the importance of community support.
- Requirements and Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience working as an NDIS Support Worker, focusing on both support and outreach activities.
- Essential Skills and Certifications:
- A strong commitment to meeting client needs and preferences.
- 100 Points of Identification.
- Valid Driver's License with access to a reliable vehicle.
- Car Insurance and Registration.
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance.
- Police Check.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Relevant experience in the disability sector, focusing on support work and outreach.
