Business Insights Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Business Insights Analyst to support our business decision-making process. This role will involve providing insightful analysis and recommendations to optimise profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Product Evaluation: Review the commercial viability of new products being developed by the Product Development department, focusing on target pricing, costs, margin expectations, and forecasts.
  • Product Performance Assessment: Analyse the progress of new and existing products, identifying performance against targets, market trends, and return on investment to inform future planning.
  • Stock Management: Review stock levels versus turnover, identify slow-moving items, and propose corrective actions to mitigate risk and influence stock holding strategies.
  • Market Data Collection: Collaborate with the external sales team to gather reliable market data for launching new products and reviewing existing product performance.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and manage customer price files within the system, including promotions and pricing adjustments.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Commercial Acumen: Strong analytical skills to compile, interpret, and analyse key trends and data sets to support strategic business decisions.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage analytical initiatives aligned with business goals, delivered on time, and driving measurable impact.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in analysis and reporting.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to use a broad range of communication styles and choose appropriate ways to communicate to different audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Identify opportunities to improve current processes and develop solutions or efficiencies.
