Urban Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Urban Development Coordinator to support the development assessment and community engagement team in a diverse Sydney community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate town planner to work with us and contribute to the delivery of efficient development services. As an Urban Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing planning and development information to customers through our Duty Planner service;
  • Preparing assessment reports and determinations on development applications and subdivision certificates;
  • Undertaking site inspections and preparing supporting documentation;
  • Coodinating internal and external stakeholder feedback on development matters;
  • Responding to enquiries at the customer service counter, via email, and by phone;
  • Meeting statutory and Council timeframes to deliver efficient development services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or nearing completion);
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities;
  • An understanding of relevant Acts, statutory planning processes, and customer service delivery;
  • The ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a fast-paced environment;
  • A Class C Driver's Licence.
