Senior Engineer in Urban Development

Main Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and fee proposal development
  • Overseeing the design and drafting program for urban development projects
  • Civil design management, including earthworks, drainage, car parks, roads, pavements, and utilities
  • Leading design coordination with architects, landscape architects, and engineers at project meetings
  • Ensuring technical reviews and internal quality assurance processes are carried out effectively
  • Managing project delivery, bid support, and leadership duties
  • Setting departmental goals and developing actionable implementation plans
  • Enhancing engineering application processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Chartered Engineer status with NER accreditation
  • At least 15 years of experience in civil design for buildings, urban development, land development, or brownfield projects
  • Strong technical expertise in civil design, including knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes
  • Understanding of brownfield projects, water environments, and water resource management
  • Proficiency in civil design software, such as AutoCAD, 12D, Drains, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience in QA processes and design reviews
