Investment Analysts play a crucial role in financial research and consulting, specialising in managed funds analysis for professional advisors and their clients.

The Associate Investment Analyst position involves reviewing all aspects of fund managers' investment teams and processes as well as the return and risk characteristics of the underlying managed funds across all asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain databases to aid with fund filters and other related analysis
  • Support information collection and documentation for fund manager reviews, sector reports and logistics
  • Participate in fund manager assessment meetings at their offices
  • Maintain accurate file notes for fund manager reviews
  • Evaluate assessment criteria for fund managers
  • Present and support investment ratings to the research committee
  • Write comprehensive reports allocating and assigning investment assessments and recommendations on funds across various asset classes
  • Review reports and investment products covering investment style, process, strategies, performance and structures
  • Deliver research reports to managers
  • Integrate relevant factual feedback from managers into reports
  • Publish reports on the company website for clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Commerce or Business (advantageous)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Passion for investments and markets, particularly equity
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Collaborative team player who can communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
