Job Title:
Drilling Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Drilling Specialist to conduct site surveys and utility locates using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and other locating technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and utility locates using GPR and other locating technologies
- Maintain and inspect drilling equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Complete relevant paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Proactively resolve unexpected technical difficulties and site issues
- Coordinate with management to efficiently organize resources
Requirements:
- Previous experience leading a team
- Previous experience as a driller/locator
- Proficiency in operating drilling equipment and locating technology
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Construction Induction Card
- Control traffic with stop-slow bat
- Implement traffic management plan
- Fire training
- Provide first aid
- Provide CPR
- Conduct manual tasks safely
- Prepare to work in the gas industry
- Energy Safe Victoria NO GO Zone Spotter ticket
- Identify, locate & protect underground services
- Conduct horizontal directional drilling
- Conduct civil construction excavator operations
