About Us:

We are a thriving commercial civil plumbing, electrical, and drainage company based in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, we are currently seeking experienced Plant Operators (Excavators & Skid Steers) to join our team.

This role is ideal for operators with solid civil earthworks experience, as your knowledge and skills will be pivotal to our operations.

The Role:

This position will begin as a casual role, with the opportunity to transition into full-time employment following a successful probation period.

Key Responsibilities:

The below responsibilities for candidate operating Excavators and Skid Steers.

  • Safely operate excavators (5–35 tonne) and skid steers.
  • Work with GPS equipment, including final trimming.
  • Perform drainage trenching and batter work.
  • Maintain, clean, and care for machinery.
  • Uphold the highest standards of OH&S and comply with Tier 1 client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with crews both in and out of machinery.

Qualifications / Experience

  • 5+ years' genuine operating experience (sitting on a stockpile loading trucks does not count).
  • Current Excavator Operator ticket / Verification of Competency (LE or equivalent SOA).
  • Construction Induction Card (preferably Victorian WorkSafe).
  • Demonstrated drainage trenching / battering experience.
  • References from at least two recent employers (within the last 24 months).
  • GPS experience highly regarded.
  • Additional relevant tickets (please list in your application).
