The Opportunity: Driver Trainer
We are seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to join our team in the Resources & Industrials division. As a Driver Trainer, you will be responsible for providing effective and safe instruction to new and existing drivers. Your remit will cover the Victorian region, with the opportunity to travel interstate to provide coverage and support where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and encourage a culture of safety while demonstrating a commitment to chain of responsibility legislation.
- Conduct regular driver assessments to ensure competency in all aspects of driver activity, including human factor issues and driver/vehicle presentation.
- Conduct regular paperwork training with drivers to ensure service standards are consistent.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure results are achieved by using both formal and informal processes to monitor training effectiveness.
- Be a leader and mentor for the drivers through formal and informal staff appraisals and coaching.
- Partner in the deployment of innovative approaches or technologies to drive business growth and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- MC licence.
- Knowledge of NHVL mass management, fatigue management, road transport rules & regulations & Chain of Responsibility.
- Ability to influence others and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Computer skills: Microsoft office.
- Reliable vehicle to travel to various Toll sites.
