Business Systems Analyst Finance Expert

Are you a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a passion for finance and technology? Do you have experience working with financial systems, business intelligence tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams?

We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team in a key finance-focused role. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical part in enhancing our operational efficiency by developing and managing finance and non-finance business reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the internal first point of contact and super-user for business systems, including MYOB Advanced Business (including Payroll), Assignar (WFM), and the United Engineering Weighbridge system.
  2. Conduct financial analysis within both Demolition and Recycling businesses to support decision-making processes.
  3. Develop and manage finance and non-finance business reporting to provide insights and drive strategic initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with other teams within the organization to identify and implement system improvements aimed at enhancing reporting and operational efficiency.
  5. Improve and operate financial systems connected to the collection, retrieval, accessibility, and usage of financial data to facilitate department planning and activities.
  6. Utilize automated systems for the analysis of financial problems and provide expert knowledge to users in the area of automated financial systems.
  7. Conduct assessments on software and hardware needs and design new or modified systems to meet changing demands.
  8. Configure system settings and options, as well as create specifications for systems to meet financial requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology and/or Finance is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of MYOB Advanced Business, Assignar, and other relevant business systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience in system configuration and optimization is preferred.
