About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Standards Engineer to join our team at Energy Queensland. As a key member of our Telecommunications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing telecommunications standards and policies that support the safe and efficient operation of our power network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain telecommunications standards and policies that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain telecommunication services that support the operation of our power network.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders on telecommunications-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the telecommunications industry and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including IP, MPLS, TDM, and other relevant systems.
  • Experience in developing and implementing telecommunications standards and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
