We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Standards Engineer to join our team at Energy Queensland. As a key member of our Telecommunications team, you will play a critical role in the development of telecommunications standards and policies that support the safe and efficient operation of our power network.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications technologies, including IP, MPLS, TDM, and other relevant systems. You will be responsible for creating strategic plans for the design, deployment, and maintenance of telecommunication services that support the ongoing operation and performance of our power network.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing standards and technical requirement statements for telecommunications services
- Establishing supply contracts with vendors
- Collaborating with the broader EQL group to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Performing technical evaluations of tenders
- Providing technical advice and solutions to meet the requirements of SCADA, protection, and other telecommunication services
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $151,765 for 9 days and $171,495 for 10 days, plus 14.75% superannuation. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with a focus on professional development and career advancement.
