Job Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented underground geologist to assist in the implementation and execution of geological tasks at a leading mining operation in Western Australia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To deliver and maintain the diamond drill schedule to obtain required data for block models.
  • Monitor and track ore mining activities, ensuring proposals are signed off and resource model updates are completed in line with mine planning requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to operations to minimize dilution, recover economic mineralization, and maximize commercial outcomes.
  • Supervise and direct project geologists, mine geologists, graduate/junior geologists, geology technicians, and contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years' mining experience, 5+ years' experience in gold mining.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the mining cycle from exploration through to mining and geological reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated technical excellence and best practice methods in grade control, geological modeling, and estimation.
  • Ability to accurately forecast budgets and manage costs.
  • Current and valid manual driver's licence and national police clearance.
