Home Care Support Role

The Home Care Support role plays a vital part in ensuring our clients enjoy a safe and quality lifestyle while residing in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personalized care services (e.g. bathing, dressing, toileting)
  • Assisting clients with medication management
  • Availability from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
  • Supporting household tasks and meal preparation
  • Offering social support, including transportation and outings
  • Monitoring client wellbeing and updating care plans
  • Mentoring and training Home Care Workers
Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
  • Completion of key units: HLTHPS006 - Assist client with medication, HLTAAP001 – Recognise healthy body systems, CHCCCS031 – Provide individualised support.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in direct care roles
  • Up-to-date and current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Current driver's license and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with effective written and verbal English skills
