Vegetation Management Expert Required

We are seeking a skilled and experienced vegetation management expert to undertake various activities for private industry and government authorities.

Your tasks will include bush regeneration, habitat restoration, native tree planting, brush cutting, weed control, chemical spraying, and vegetation clearing for bushfire management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake vegetation management and rehabilitation activities in accordance with environmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in bush regeneration, habitat restoration, and native tree planting projects.
  • Operate vehicles and field equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct manual control techniques, including herbicide application and brush cutting.
  • Identify and manage weeds and their control methods.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in bush regeneration, including herbicide application (high volume and backpack), brush cutting, and manual control techniques.
  • General knowledge of vegetation communities, including local native plant and weed species identification.
  • Completed or enrolled in a Certificate in Conservation & Land Management or related qualification relevant to bushland management.
  • Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures, risk management practice, and principles.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and field equipment, with a valid driver's license.
  • White Card (construction induction) and ACDC/ChemCert qualifications.
