We are seeking an exceptional Workplace Relations Advisor to join our client's team and provide expert advice, guidance, and support to stakeholders across the organisation.

About the Role

This newly created role presents an amazing opportunity to build upon your solid knowledge of the Fair Work Act (FWA) and employment law, working closely with the HR leader. Responsibilities will be varied and include:

  • Providing practical expert advice and guidance to various stakeholders on a wide range of workplace relations and employment relations issues
  • Assisting in the prevention and resolution of disputes, grievances, and consultations with employees and unions
  • Supporting the HR leader with planning, analysis, and other key aspects of enterprise agreement negotiations
  • Assisting in operationalising enterprise agreements and conducting periodic audits for compliance
  • Providing advice and negotiation support for employment contracts
  • Staying up-to-date with legislative changes and collaborating with the People & Culture team to provide training to minimise risk and ensure compliance
  • Guiding managers on the interpretation and classifications of positions against agreements and awards
  • Providing continuous coaching on workplace relations topics, such as Right of Entry, Consultation, Facilitative Provisions, Unfair Dismissal, and General Protections
  • Supporting complex case management matters and guiding managers through these processes
  • Assisting with planning and preparation for attendance at FWC hearings, conciliations, and conferences

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or related disciplines
  • Experience in providing expert workplace relations advice, preferably in a blue-collar industry
  • Solid knowledge of the FWA, NES, and IR system, and experience working across multiple enterprise agreements and awards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-focused approach

We offer a competitive salary package including a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
