Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented IC Test Engineer to support the development of cryogenic integrated circuits for quantum computing. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of IC designers and quantum engineers to deliver Diraq's technical roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement testing of cryogenic integrated circuits
  • Contribute to test software frameworks and tool development
  • Maintain test data archive and contribute to database development and maintenance
  • Process, translate, and present test data for both specialist and non-specialist stakeholders
  • Design and coordinate fabrication of test PCBs, and design and validate test setups for both cryogenic and room-temperature testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve faults in electronic test setups
  • Provide regular reporting on the progress of development and testing projects against technical milestones
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop general use capabilities for device test
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and foster a collaborative working environment
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in electronics and/or IC testing
  • Experience with developing firmware and software for controlling test and measurement equipment
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills with comprehensive knowledge of electronics troubleshooting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize between tasks, and deliver high-quality results
  • Knowledge of quantum technologies is desirable
  • Knowledge of low-noise cryogenic measurements is desirable
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities, and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
