**Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team at Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of test plans for new firmware, software, and hardware.
  • Own the validation process, ensuring that all critical aspects are thoroughly tested and validated.
  • Influence overall test strategy by helping define system test requirements.
  • Proactively communicate with project teams to update on validation status.
  • Run test scripts and make recommendations for design or process modification based on test results.
  • Collect and analyze data collected in various test formats.
  • Generate reports to provide assurance that all critical aspects have been tested and validated.
  • Track and coordinate all validation activities progress.
  • Ensure key deliverables are met.
  • Analyze, coordinate, and perform failure analysis activities to identify the root cause of reported issues.
  • Work with design teams to debug issues.
  • Maintain procedures, policies, and documents for validation activities.
  • Ensure product and process development activities have all necessary validation and supporting justification.
  • Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct validation studies.
  • Utilize risk assessment to identify critical areas for validation and generate test scripts accordingly.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and equipment needs for validation/testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or Scientific degree.
  • Experience in reviewing internal requirements and industry standards documentation to support various test phases.
  • Experience authoring/editing/executing validation documents.
  • Ability to read & analyze electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to build and debug systems.
  • Basic hands-on experience with electrical hardware installations and modifying/building electrical harnesses.

Desirable Skills

  • Intermediate skills with WORD and EXCEL (authoring/editing technical documents).
  • Proven attention to detail and organization (including technical proofreading, follow-through, and project communication).
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  • Business maturity and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate.
  • Creative and open-minded individual who fosters an environment in which sharing of ideas is encouraged.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company and customers by exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills.
