Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to join our team.

This role requires the ability to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, as well as provide high-quality written contributions to support policy development and strategy.

  • Conduct research and analysis to inform best practice stewardship of finite resources.

  • Prepare timely advice on strategic policy and regulatory issues, identifying opportunities for sustainable outcomes.

  • Develop effective partnerships to achieve policy objectives and deliver government commitments.

  • Lead and mentor staff to ensure necessary skills and motivation exist to respond to service delivery requirements.

About This Opportunity

  • Targeted position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.

  • Knowledge of engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is highly desirable.

  • Experience or qualifications in water management, communication, or engagement disciplines would be advantageous.

  • Proven track record of managing stakeholder engagement for policy-related projects and delivering strategic communication services.

  • Ability to develop strategies and policies to deliver government objectives and promote positive community outcomes.

  • Travel may be required away from the centre.
