**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Specialist to join our team on the Cross River Rail project. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the community.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures to mitigate risks associated with construction activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to project teams on safety matters, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.
  • Deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, near misses, and corrective actions, and generate reports for management review.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in safety practices to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Safety Advisor or similar role within the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Certification in workplace health and safety (e.g., Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety) will be advantageous.
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
