Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Specialist to join our Western Downs BESS project team in QLD, Australia. The successful candidate will provide HSE advice, support, and direction to our project delivery teams on all HSE-related matters.

Main Responsibilities
  • Site-based Role: Responsible for providing a timely and responsible S&H service.
  • Involve in the development of Work Packs – methodology and Risk assessments.
  • Evaluate compliance with the agreed mythology of activity as per the Work Pack and comply with the organization's S&H policy, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and accidents, and respond with corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular synergy mobility inspections and audits.
Requirements
  • Minimum certificate 4 in OH&S management; ideally, a Diploma-level qualification in a relevant safety discipline.
  • Strong experience in a similar site-based role in the construction industry.
  • Robust understanding of the WHS Act and Regulations.
  • Experience in Safety Management System implementation.
