Job Title:

Head of Special Services

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the school community in developing and implementing a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life, promoting respect, integrity, and responsibility.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Form partnerships with parents, government agencies, community groups, industry, and business to enhance opportunities for students.
  • Develop and manage resources effectively to achieve goals, ensuring efficient use of human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources.
Requirements:
  • Assistant Deputy Principal Inclusive Education experience or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management in education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to embed inclusive practices and promote social justice in daily school life.
  • Capacity to understand and interpret legislation and policies impacting education, particularly in relation to students with disability.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
