About the Role:

In this leadership position, you will collaborate with the Executive Principal and the Leadership and Management Team to drive the school's ongoing improvement agenda. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in cultivating a high-expectations school culture focused on continuous improvement, maximising teacher and student potential.

The portfolio focus for this role is developing an inclusive learning culture, including leading a department that works with staff, students, and parents to enhance access to learning for diverse learners. You will lead efforts to facilitate change and build teacher capacity to provide effective and differentiated instruction for all students. Responsibilities include leading the EALD, Learning Support, and Special Education departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Leadership and Management Team to enact the school philosophy and Strategic Plan
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to improve as a leader and classroom teacher
  • Set and maintain high standards for student performance by leading your faculty to uphold the spirit of excellence with a focus on improving learning outcomes and fostering a growth mindset
  • Facilitate teacher collaboration and professional learning to improve staff knowledge of appropriate pedagogical strategies that promote student engagement and create positive learning environments
  • Lead a large and diverse team of teachers, case managers, and teacher aides to develop a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students
