About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Operational Excellence Lead to join our team at Veritas Recruitment, based in the Sutherland Shire. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving transformation change, optimising efficiency, and promoting operational excellence across our organisation.

Reporting directly to our Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, setting efficiency goals, evaluating performance data, participating in customer meetings, leading planning sessions, and managing facilities. Your expertise in lean supply chain and manufacturing will enable you to drive process improvements and enhance performance management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Compliance: Lead site safety initiatives, enforce policies, and create a safe work environment
  • Supply Chain Optimisation: Improve supply chain productivity, support materials forecasting, ensure accurate demand planning, and optimise inventory
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory and stock movement, manage timely product introductions, and ensure inventory integrity
  • Transportation Management: Negotiate cost-effective freight solutions, analyse transport options, and maintain supplier performance
  • Culture and Development: Foster a highly inclusive culture, promote company values, lead and develop the Operations Team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements:
  • A degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field - highly desirable
  • Extensive experience in lean supply chain and manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and performance management
  • Proven capability to lead complex projects from start to finish
  • Strong leadership skills with a dynamic, hands-on approach
  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative, social team culture
