
Social Services Professional

As a Case Worker, you will work directly with individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Your role is to provide tailored support, case management, and advocacy to help people access safe accommodation, essential services, and the opportunity to build more stable futures.
You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective plans to address them. This may involve conducting client intakes, assessments, and providing crisis intervention and information referrals.
Advocacy on behalf of clients with government agencies, courts, and service providers is also an essential part of this role. You'll need to build strong partnerships with community services and stakeholders to ensure that our clients receive the best possible support.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct client assessments and develop case plans.
- Provide crisis intervention, information, referrals, and ongoing support.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with government agencies, courts, and service providers.
- Build partnerships with community services and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate client records and case notes.
- A minimum Certificate IV (or current tertiary study) in welfare, community services, or a related field.
- Experience working with people who are homeless or disadvantaged.
- Strong understanding of issues including family breakdown, mental illness, addiction, and social disadvantage.
- Knowledge of local community support services and ability to foster strong partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid computer and administrative skills.
