Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Travel + Leisure Co. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Reception desk, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of hospitality professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Reception desk, including greeting and registering of owners and guests, providing information on local area attractions, and administering various tasks.
  • Lead and develop a team of hospitality professionals, promoting high levels of customer service and ensuring excellent communication skills.
  • Manage guest issues and concerns, providing solutions and resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Front Office department at a supervisory level, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems, preferably Opera.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to listen actively and respond effectively.
  • Detail-focused with an organized approach and ability to multitask.
  • Positive attitude, vibrant, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bookkeeping/finance experience is highly regarded.
  • Immaculate presentation and grooming standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and school and public holiday periods.
  • Having your own car/vehicle will be necessary due to this being a more remote location.
