The Employment Coach is a key position within Workskil Australia Ltd, responsible for the case management of an allocated caseload of up to 80 customers with a prior offender history. The primary objective is to find them employment, with a focus on improving their capacity to work by stabilising non-vocational issues and building vocational skills and experience.
The role involves undertaking 'reverse marketing' of customers to suitable employers and running of group based job search sessions to motivate and promote further job placements for customers. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for recruitment and working with those in need, an ability to meet individual targets and contribute to a strong site team.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 7/3/2025, based at Fremantle. The successful candidate will experience a work/life balance with a 9-day fortnight, a dedicated and fixed day off every second week, and the remuneration of a full-time employee, including the ability to salary sacrifice.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- A passion and drive for helping people find employment;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of customers, employers, and staff;
- The ability to assess, match, and refer customers to appropriate job opportunities and to advocate directly to employers;
- The ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs;
- A minimum typing speed of 30 WPM;
- Strong administration skills and IT literacy, data entry, and typing skills, Word, Excel, and Outlook experience;
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure;
- Previous experience in the employment services or call centre industry or similar.
You will also be required to have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or a willingness to study, and experience in Employment Services or a related Service industry.

RemunerationA competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia Ltd is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax-effective salary packaging.
