About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Diamond Offshore. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide technical support to our shore base offices in Perth and Singapore, as well as our offshore drilling rigs in the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to internal users in the APAC region, both onshore and offshore
  • Setup and configure end-user computers, including installing software, performing updates, and aligning user computers to the Active Directory Domain
  • Perform basic LAN/WAN configuration and IT network support
  • New employee IT setup, including setting up monitors, laptops/desktops, printers, and phones
  • Perform office moves of IT equipment for end-users
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows issues for end-users, including printing, software application, and browsing issues
  • Create and enable/disable end-user accounts on the Active Directory domain
  • Perform periodic IT communication room clean-up and general organization of IT equipment

Requirements

  • A qualification in IT
  • Minimum two years of IT support experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to resolve Windows 10/Microsoft Office 365 and other end-user software or applications
  • Exposure to Microsoft Directory Services and Exchange mail, print, and file server management
  • Experience in providing phone/email IT support to end-users
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Basic level of organizational and planning skills is desirable
  • Microsoft certification desirable
