Our organisation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide high-quality support services to people with disabilities.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing daily living support, developing and implementing personalised care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Providing daily living support to clients, including assistance with personal care, mobility, and communication.
- Developing and implementing personalised care plans in collaboration with the client, their family, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assisting clients with tasks such as meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
- Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Disability, Community Service, or Age Care.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- National Police Check.
- Working with Children Check.
- First Aid certificate and CPR.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Fully COVID Vaccinated (Triple vaccinated) with evidence.
- Current full Driver's license.
While not essential, it would be desirable for you to have:
- Previous experience in a similar role - Minimum of 24 months relevant experience.
- Previous experience supporting People with Disability.
- Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work / caseload.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
