Job Title: Advancement Services Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Advancement Services Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing advancement information systems to identify individuals and cohorts for deeper engagement and connection with the university.

This includes conducting research, providing reports, and recommendations that support the University's strategic engagement with alumni, donors, community members, and key stakeholders. You will also ensure information on constituents is accurate and up-to-date, provide sophisticated background research on notable individuals, organisations and groups, and identify prospects for strategic activities, programs and awards.

About The Role
  • Permanent/Continuing appointment available in the Advancement and Communications Division at UOW
  • Level 6/7 salary package available, including superannuation

As an ideal candidate, you will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, alumni, donors, and other stakeholders.

You will also have experience in using data analysis tools and techniques, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs).

In addition, you will have the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in higher education or non-profit sector
