About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Inspector to join our Major Infrastructure Projects Team at Comcare (Australian Government). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of workers in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct workplace health and safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement prevention programs and campaigns to promote a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including employers, workers, and government agencies, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced inspectors and stakeholders on workplace health and safety best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulatory environment, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
