Welcome to NSW Treasury

We are seeking an experienced policy officer to join our Commercial Group and work within the State Insurance Schemes Division.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies that support the Treasurer and Minister for Work Health and Safety in driving system outcomes, financial sustainability, performance, strengthened accountability and governance frameworks for the State's insurance and care schemes.

You will have the opportunity to develop expertise in insurance and risk policy, drawing from commercial, economic, and regulatory frameworks, and provide strategic advice to drive meaningful change and contribute to impactful policy development.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, law, public policy, economics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience within government and understanding of government processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop expertise in insurance and risk policy.
