Compliance & Risk Management Recruitment is seeking an experienced Risk and Insurance Lead to join one of Sydney's largest Councils.
Job SummaryThis is a fantastic opportunity for a risk professional to take ownership and drive business growth from the ground-up. As a Risk and Insurance Lead, you will be responsible for developing key risk management strategies, conducting audits, and maintaining risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and develop key risk management strategies as well as the Business Continuity Program
- Conduct all relevant audits as required
- Process external liability claims, support the preparation of annual insurance policies, and work closely with the insurer to analyse and improve our risk management processes
- Maintain and uplift the risk management frameworks
- Partner and liaise with relevant stakeholders on risk procedures and recommendations
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Risk experience working within Council or State Government
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering experience
- Ability to lead and manage a small team
- Sound knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks – insurance practices, protocols and claims management
This role has ownership and visibility, allowing you to make your mark and demonstrate your skill set in helping build out the risk frameworks while working collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
