About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects Artist to join our team in creating photo-real environments and landscapes. As a key member of our department, you will work closely with live action footage, digital still photography, rendered computer graphic elements, and digital paint to create seamless environments integrated into assigned shotwork.

Successful candidates should have strong foundation in photo-realistic, traditional, and digital art skills, with an emphasis on landscapes. Experience in modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, and compositing is essential. Additionally, Houdini skills are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality computer graphics within a shot using various software programs
  • Work under the general supervision of Senior Level Artists and Generalists
  • Participate as a team member in determining aesthetic solutions and provide feedback to other members of the production
  • Mentor Apprentice and Jr. Artists and assist them with their shots
  • Meet defined milestones within a timeline
  • Source suitable reference materials for required assets
Requirements
  • Proven ability in one or more CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, or compositing
  • High level of problem-solving or creative thinking skills
  • Fluent in Photoshop
  • Fluent in Houdini, 3dsmax, Maya, or similar
  • Fluent in Vray or MRay or similar ray trace renderer
  • Degree or 3-5 years relevant experience in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design, or Photography
