Scientific Communication Specialist

This role offers the opportunity to support the delivery of a communications strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the creation, development, and coordination of science communication products and activities.
- Writing clear language summaries, media releases, newsletter stories, and graphical content to explain research findings to target audiences.
- Contributing to the Hub's online presence and social media channels, organising events, and engaging with a broad network of stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in science communication or equivalent competency in communicating complex information.
- Ability to understand and translate scientific outcomes into targeted communication products.
- Proficiency in producing communication materials using creative tools.
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions, Indigenous groups, natural resource managers, environment organisations, community groups, and the media.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and have a strong understanding of science communication principles.
As a Senior Research Communications Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by developing and implementing effective communication strategies that bring research to life for various audiences.
You will be working closely with the Resilient Landscapes Hub team to deliver high-quality science communication products and activities that showcase the importance of environmental sustainability.
