Our organization is seeking a dedicated Operations Team Supervisor to join our global team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to supervise a production team, focusing on safety, driving team performance and delivering productivity targets.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction and support to the production team for the afternoon shift (2pm-10pm) at our site in Direk. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the occupational health and safety of employees, contractors and site visitors.
  • Managing shift maintenance, equipment breakdowns and liaising with maintenance staff.
  • Ensuring that customers' expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Providing leadership and direction to direct reports.
  • Maintaining quality and service standards on the shift.
  • Developing people & identifying training needs for shift employees.
  • Achieving budgeted costs and production forecasts for the shift.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Team Supervisor who can lead our production team with vision, creativity, and expertise.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a fast-paced industrial production or operations environment.
  • The leadership capability to nurture, develop, drive and motivate a diverse multi-cultural workforce.
  • Solid experience in performance management and conflict resolution.
  • A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, innovation and change.
  • Some exposure to production and maintenance planning, embracing the use of technology.
  • Strong communication and team building skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics or a related discipline preferred.
