Job Summary:

The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, reporting directly to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading new coils onto the de-coiler as required
  • Ensuring finished products are loaded onto trolleys in an efficient manner
  • Resetting, adjusting and correcting machine setup to minimize thickness deviations and eliminate product defects
  • Ensuring high-quality products meet production specifications
  • Maintaining a clean and organized Roll form machine and area
  • Completing daily product inspections and audits to prevent quality issues
  • Monitoring and reporting abnormal machine operation and/or maintenance requirements
  • Performing routine equipment maintenance and assisting with maintenance tasks as needed
  • Submitting timely maintenance reports to prevent equipment breakdowns
  • Tracking machine cycles and operation to ensure fabricated products conform to production specifications

About You:

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, honesty, reliability and punctuality
  • Excellent attention to detail producing high-quality work
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks
  • Desirable experience in roll forming
  • Familiarity with the steel framing industry
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Capacity to work independently and contribute as a team member
  • Availability to work Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays from 5:00am - 1:30pm
